Layoffs are coming for ESPN, again

The news comes a week after ESPN absorbed most of NFL Network employees and plans to cut up its corporate footprint. The layoffs are not related to the recent merger with the NFL, but they are due to ongoing cord-cutting and the potential for ESPN to be spun off from Disney. As many as 30 jobs will be impacted, mostly off-field jobs. The financial impact of the dispute with YouTube TV will also be felt.
