Jarred Jackman, a 50-year-old climber, was rescued after falling 40 to 50 feet from the rock he was climbing on in Red Rock Canyon, Nevada, on February 28. His rope became untied and he hit his head, leaving him dangling 600 feet above the ground. The rescue operation lasted seven hours and required a halo brace to stabilize his spine. Jackman plans to return to climbing and has issued a warning to fellow climbers about the dangers of the route.
