Roger Goodell revels in annual booing tradition at 2026 NFL Draft

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was booed at the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft at Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium, despite wearing a Terrible Towel. This is an annual occurrence, with Goodell stating that he enjoys the engagement of fans and feels it's a playful occurrence. He first experienced the boos in 2011, during his fifth season as the NFL's top official and during the NFL’s 3 1/2-month lockout. He credits former NBA commissioner David Stern for anticipating the inevitable backlash.
