Kane Office of Emergency Management creating support network with local groups to respond to natural disasters

Kane County is forming a countywide support network for natural disaster preparation, response and recovery. The initiative, named Disaster Ready Kane, aims to help residents and businesses stabilise, rebuild and recover quickly after a major emergency. The county will host a community meeting on April 10 for nonprofits, faith-based organizations, service agencies, businesses and community groups interested in participating. The goal is to build relationships and clarify roles in response to major disasters.
