Nicole Truelove, a 53-year-old social studies teacher at Splendora High School, has been charged with fabricating an attack that led to a lockdown for nearly three hours and a massive law enforcement response. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office initially believed a student had attacked her, but later determined her injury was self-inflicted with a razor blade. The incident occurred at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. Despite this, the school has been cleared and settled a $1 million federal lawsuit by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice claiming she was sexually assaulted by an inmate during a teaching assignment.
