Frisco plans park larger than New York's Central Park

The city of Frisco is planning a park that will be larger than New York's Central Park, which covers about 1,011 acres. The park will be constructed in phases, with the first phase covering 58 acres and will include an amphitheater, orchard, and 3-acre pond for kayaking, paddleboarding and scenic walks. The first phase is estimated to cost around $43 million, with funding from past bonds and the Frisco Community Development Corp. The total cost of the park is unknown.
