The Iranian American community celebrated the start of spring with a celebration of the Persian New Year, with members of the public and representatives from the Governor’s office. The event was part of a larger effort to bring together a diverse community, particularly in light of ongoing protests against Iran's government's attempts to maintain its sovereignty. The celebration also featured a traditional Haft-Seaked display, a symbol of renewal and prosperity.
