A proposal by developer Prologis and Caltrain has been proposed for a 20-acre site near the intersection of 4th and King streets in San Francisco. The project would create roughly 2,500 residential units, including affordable housing, and approximately 4 million square feet of commercial space. It would replace the existing Caltrain station with a modernized facility. The first phase of the project will involve rail work, followed by vertical construction. The proposal has been submitted to the San Francisco Planning Department and is now undergoing a formal environmental impact review.
