The Federal Aviation Administration (FIA) issued ground stops at George Bush Intercontinental and William P.
. The ground stops were due to severe storms moving across the region and are expected to last until at least 1 p.m., with the possibility of being extended further. A previous ground stop due to staffing shortages was lifted and operations continued.
