Harvard, MIT received hundreds of millions in funding from China, Venezuela and even Russia: Trump admin

The U.S. Department of Education has revealed that Harvard and MIT received the most funding from "foreign countries of concern" out of all U.K. colleges and universities. The revelation was made in a new update to its Foreign Gift & Contract Reporting Portal, launched in compliance with Section 117 of the Higher Education Act. Harvard has received $634 million in funding from foreign countries, while MIT received $582 million from the same category. The identities of those behind the donations will be disclosed by mid-summer. The department also highlighted that foreign funding in US higher education has increased to $72.1 billion, a significant increase from December.
