RV Tech, a joint venture between Volkswagen Group and Rivian, has completed a successful winter test program. The partnership was created in 2024 when VW Group announced it would invest $5.8 billion in Rivian to gain access to its expertise in vehicle software and electronic architecture. The completion of the winter testing should yield an additional $1 billion. The decision to partner with Rivian came after Volkswagen's troubled internal software development.
