Indiana targets businesses hiring workers in country without legal permission

Indiana's Attorney General, Todd Rokita, has announced that businesses could face fines for knowingly hiring workers in the country without legal permission. The law, known as the Fairness Act by Republicans, aims to crack down on "underground economies" and "labor trafficking" in the construction industry. Critics argue that the law could lead to racial profiling and other issues, but Rukita insists he will not be concerned about it. The act also requires schools, government agencies, and law enforcement to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
