The building formerly known as TJ's Bar and Grill in New Lenox, Illinois, has been transformed into Tru Country by Eden and Phil Wiechec, who have been in the building for nearly two years. The grand opening weekend of the bar is set for April 3-5. Live music is set to celebrate the occasion. The owners hope to keep the same menu as their previous location in Channahon, which has been a success. The interior of the building has been designed with the intention of making it more familiar. The building's exterior features red and yellow brick painted white, contrasted by black metal overhangs on a front porch and side patio seating. Mayor Tim Baldermann praised the owners' efforts to revitalize the building and address its long-standing vacancy.
