Geneva voters appear to have rejected a proposal by the city to issue $59.4 million in bonds for a new police station. With all precincts in Kane County reporting, 34.38% of voters in favor of the proposal and 65.62% against the city's proposal, according to data from the Kane County Clerk's Office. The bond measure asked local residents whether they supported the city issuing $59.,000 in bonds to pay for the construction of a new station on a city-owned property. The current police station is located near the Fox River and was set to include an indoor firing range and indoor parking for all vehicles.
