The Nashville Electric Service (NES) faced criticism during a historic ice storm in 2026, which left hundreds of thousands without power for days due to confusion over its response and response to the storm. New documents reveal that a training called "Building a Culture of Trust" focused on the concept of "implicit bias," a theory that people unintentionally prejudiced against others based on their identity.
