Construction starts at Reno-Tahoe airport on larger, modern concourses
Published on March 3, 2026.
Construction has begun on two new concourses at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, a major part of the $1B infrastructure improvement project known as MoreRNO. The new A and B concourses will be nearly double the size of the existing B and C concourses and will be able to accommodate larger aircraft like the 737 Max 10. The existing concourses, which will remain fully operational during construction, will be built just outside of the current ones when construction ends. The project also features a more sustainable footprint, with a 50% reduction in the use of energy per square foot over the existing structures and a 40% less water use over the current.
