The Medina Police Department has been awarded the Outstanding Agency Award for its day-to-day operations. The award was presented at the Pathways to Excellence award presentation April 15. While 14 other law enforcement agencies received accreditation this year, only one was selected to receive the award. The recognition reflects the department's work from records, dispatch and property to sworn personnel. Mayor Jim Shields said the accreditation demonstrates the department’s commitment to transparency and accountability, which helps build trust within the community.
