Windy weather blows into Las Vegas valley with chance of showers

A Wind Advisory is in place from 11 am to 2 am Wednesday for a storm expected to bring sustained southwest winds 20-30 mph and wind gusts around 50 mph across the Las Vegas valley. High temperatures will be nearly 10 degrees cooler on Tuesday compared to Monday, with high temperatures expected to reach 79 degrees in Las Vegas. Showers are expected to occur this afternoon and evening, with the best timing for the showers being this afternoon. Any rain that falls will be light, with most valley locations seeing nothing up to.10". The mountains in Southern Nevada and parts of northwest Arizona will see rain amounts between.10" to.50". The second storm is expected to impact Southern Nevada on Thursday night into Friday, bringing valley highs down to mid 70s on Friday.
