The Red Sox catcher, Carlos Narváez, was benched for undisclosed reasons during a game against the New York Yankees, according to manager Alex Cora. Cora stated that he made the change for the better of the situation, stating that he had spoken with Narväez and that it was not for disciplinary reasons. Narvâéé, who is currently in his second season in Boston, had hit.241/.306/.419 with 15 home runs and 50 RBIs across 118 games last season.
