A public phone has been placed near the Boston University campus as part of a social experiment, where students are encouraged to communicate with their elderly counterparts. The initiative is part of an effort to connect young adults with older people who are most likely to be negatively impacted by loneliness. The calls can be made for free, and if no one picks up, leaving voicemails is encouraged. The experiment is being conducted by the organization of the Evolution.
