The sequel to "The Handmaid's Tale" is expanding the Gilead universe to include more privileged women in the character of Aunt Lydia in the elite preparatory school for future wives. The show follows the daughters of Commanders and so-called Pearl Girls recruited from outside Gileads. The creator, Bruce Miller, revealed that while the current political situation makes the story relevant today, it reflects Margaret Atwood's sense of where women are and what they're always fighting. Other cast members include Ann Dowd, Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, and Warren Littlefield. Miller and the executive producer, Elizabeth Moss, expressed gratitude for the support they received from the community.
