San Jose Sharks teammates Barclay Goodrow and Mario Ferraro became emotional about teammate Ryan Reaves' gesture of staying on the team's bench during a game against the Philadelphia Flyers. Despite an apparent dislocated finger during a fight with forward Garrett Wilson, Reaves remained on the bench throughout the game. Despite the injury, he returned to the Sharks' bench and played only one shift during the second period. Reaves, who was injured in the fight, had to have his finger re-stretched and put back into place by a trainer before returning to the dressing room. Despite this setback, Reveaves has been a key player for the Sharks this season, playing in 50 of their 68 games so far this season. He is now 38 games shy of 1,000 games in his NHL career.
