Painesville's landmark, Painesville, Ohio, is changing its name to Joseph’s 1818 Public House & Tavern, after Google began changing the restaurant's online status to “closed” due to a previous iteration of the business using the name had been closed. The change was made to reflect the building's history, with recent documentation indicating that Joseph Rider opened the building as a hostelry in 1818, not 1812. The current restaurant is currently open and thriving.
