Acting US ambassador to Ukraine leaving post, officials deny frustration with Trump

Acting U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Julie Davis, will leave her post in June following a 30-year tenure as a career foreign service officer. The Financial Times reported that Davis was leaving due to President Trump's decreasing support for Ukraine and felt "blindsided" over his nomination of John Breslow as ambassador to Cyprus. Some Republicans are also expressing frustration with the Trump administration over its antagonism toward Ukraine. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has criticized the Pentagon for failing to disburse a modest $400 million in aid to Ukraine.
