A cold front is expected to drop south tonight, bringing an increased threat of rain and storms after 7 p.m. Potential storms could result in damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain, potentially resulting in an isolated tornado. However, these storms are expected to be lower than expected, with heavy rain and gusty winds being the main threats. Showers will continue into Friday morning but should move south of the area by midday. Temperatures will be chilly, but a significant warm-up is expected next week.
