Chucky Lozano, the highest-paid player for Major League Soccer (MLS) for San Diego FC (SDFC), is reportedly in talks with LA Galaxy about a potential loan deal that would end his time in San Diego. The deal would send Lozana, who was set to make $6 million in base salary and an additional $3.33 million in total compensation this season, to Los Angeles, with San Diego absorbing at least some of his contract. If successful, Loziano would likely be a designated player and thus not subject to MLS' salary structure. His salary ranked fifth in the league with a salary of $7.63 million. Lozanos was banned from the club's playoff opener against Portland due to disciplinary reasons and was brought off the bench for the rest of the team's playoff march.
