Las Vegas tourism agency approves spending up to $464M on marketing city

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority board of directors approved extensions and updates to five contracts, emphasizing the need for speed, flexibility and scale in promoting the destination. The largest of the approved contracts is a three-year, $309 million advertising and marketing agreement with R&R Partners, which is responsible for the "What Happens Here, Stays Here" slogan. The total cost of these contracts is $460 million, with additional funding being requested if needed. Existing contracts with RandR and Grey Group, executed in 2021, are set to reach their spending caps early in the coming fiscal year.
