Two former mayors of Montclair County, Renee Baskerville and Bob Russo, have announced their intentions to run for an open seat in the Essex County Commissioner Board. Basklevine, who served on the Montclair Town Council for 24 years, stated that she was not in the right time to leave the race due to ongoing issues with the city. Meanwhile, Russo confirmed that he remains in the running, citing his extensive experience and contacts in the past.
