The 2026 FIFA World Cup play-in finals will determine the final opponents for the U.S. and Mexico. Italy, Czechia, Denmark and Jamaica are among the teams still competing for the final six spots. The winner will be placed in Group B with Canada, Qatar and Switzerland. The United States is in Group D with Paraguay, Australia and the winner will join Portugal, Uzbekistan and Colombia in Group K. The World Cup will be played in 16 different cities across North America, 11 of which are in the US.
