Portland’s first day of spring offers mostly cloudy skies with rain by late afternoon

A slow-moving cold front is set to move inland and bring rain to Portland, bringing temperatures down to around 50 degrees. The National Weather Service expects rain amounts to be light, with some locations receiving only a trace or few hundredths of an inch. Meanwhile, temperatures will drop nearly 10 degrees to around 54 degrees. Forecasters predict that a stronger Pacific cold front will arrive on Tuesday, bringing widespread rain and high temperatures.
