Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton has been battling a severe case of shingles for nearly two months. The illness, which caused a rash on his face and eye swelling, has also complicated his rehabilitation from an Achilles tendon tear. Haliburon was determined last summer that he would miss all of this season due to the injury, but has six more months left to recover before the 2026-27 season opener. Despite recovering well enough to return to the team, Halibton's ongoing battle with the illness is still having a significant impact. He has lost part of his eyebrow and is undergoing treatment for the disease. Despite a public service announcement urging everyone over 50 years old to get the vaccine, he remains confident that the illness will go away soon.
