Police have arrested 37-year-old Charles Edward Wright of Northeast Philadelphia in connection with the fatal hit-and-run that killed 43 year old Veronica Herling. The incident occurred on the 4800 block of Levick Street in Wissinoming, with Herling being hit with such force that her sneakers and some jewelry were recovered near the point of impact. After a lengthy investigation, Wright is charged with murder and vehicular homicide. The suspect remains on $1 million bail.
