Eduardo Hernandez, a 49-year-old convicted rapist, has pleaded guilty to kidnapping in Rockland County Court and will be sentenced to 14 years in prison. Hernandez's history dates back to April 18, 2004, when he raped a 52-year woman walking home from a grocery store and then stole her purse and money before driving away. He pleaded guilty in 2004 to the rape of one victim and also to the kidnapping of a second woman, receiving two 14-year determinate terms of incarceration concurrent with each other for those crimes. On June 29, 2005, he pleaded guilty and received an additional 5-year sentence in prison to be served consecutively to the previous 14 years.
