Minnesota needs continuity, not disruption, in Human Services leadership

The recent confirmation hearing of Commissioner Shireen Gandhi's confirmation hearing has created unnecessary uncertainty and risks diverting attention from the urgent operational work already underway. This is a time for focus, not disruption, as Minnesota's human services system is under heightened scrutiny and under scrutiny. The state must demonstrate to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that it is effectively addressing fraud, strengthening internal controls and meeting federal requirements tied to payment, particularly in mental health.
