St. John's has secured a commitment from Syracuse transfer Donnie Freeman, adding to its rapidly changing frontcourt. Freeman, a 6-9 forward who averaged 16.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game last season, was ranked as its No. 15 player in the transfer portal by ESPN. St. John’s is also set to add Serbian center Lazar Stojkovic. The team is losing three starters in Zuby Ejiofor, Bryce Hopkins, and Dillon Mitchell, all of whom are out of NCAA eligibility. However, the team will have some continuity, with 6-11 forward Ruben Prey expected to return for his junior year.
