The high-profile incident occurred early morning in the morning, when an officer saw a silver Infiniti speeding near Harbor Boulevard and Cypress Street. The car then ran into three other vehicles and was driven by the driver. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and two were taken to a nearby hospital. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the intersection for several hours.
