Lindsey Graham Says He'll Take Blame If Iran Operation Fails

Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham has stated that he will be blamed if America's Iran operation ends unsuccessful. Graham has faced criticism for his hawkish foreign policy, including in the lead-up to and during the Iran conflict. The U.S. and Israel initiated Operation Epic Fury on February 28, which killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and dozens of other senior leaders. Graham reportedly made multiple trips to Israel to gather information for his efforts to influence President Donald Trump to strike Iran. The Pentagon requested over $200 billion to fund the Iran war, which could be a tough sell to Congress.
