Alicia (Cuevas) Ibarra, born in 1930 in Chile, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on April 13, 2026. She is survived by her six children, Monica Lima, Alicia Loreto Goyenechea (Reinaldo) of Guilford, Rodrigo IbarRA (Ilse) of Gloucester, David Ibarro, and Alvaro Ivarra (Suzy), along with 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. A devoted Catholic, Alicia dedicated her life to teaching and sharing her knowledge and compassion with students in Santiago, Chile and New Haven, Connecticut. She was known for her warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering spirit.
