The 2026 women's March Madness bracket was announced on Selection Sunday, with undefeated No. 1 UConn being the top overall seed. This marks the 11th time in program history that the Huskies have entered the Big Dance without a blemish on their record. Other notable winners and losers included UCLA, Texas, and South Carolina. Despite being ranked No. 3 in the final 25 poll, Duke ended up in a 3-2 overall bracket with LSU, LSU, and a team from No. 5 to No. 6. The Texas Longhorns' recent victory over South Carolina gave them the possibility of playing the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight in Fort Worth. Meanwhile, UCLA was awarded the second overall No.1 seed despite having a strong case for the No. 2 spot.
