Blackburn rolls out updated AI plan in bid to lead Trump's agenda

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) has released an updated federal AI policy draft, aimed at protecting children, creators, conservatives, and communities. The draft includes Blackburn's Kids Online Safety Act and the NO FAKES Act, which she co-sponsored with Sen. Chris Coons. It would require AI developers to take reasonable steps to mitigate harms from design features and sunset Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Blackburn has been working with the White House on the draft and anticipates ongoing negotiation as the two parties try to agree on a plan.
