A giant moose was captured on video coming within feet of swimmers in a Colorado lake. Florida native Carleigh Smith was hiking to St. Mary’s Glacier near Idaho Springs for her first-ever mountain hike when a man unexpectedly came behind her and her friends to warn them of a potential danger. The moose, which typically weighs over 1,000 pounds, was seen strutting into the lake for a dip just feet away from the girls. Despite the unexpected sighting, Smith described it as a memorable hike and a "very majestic and calm" experience.
