Nutanix CEO Rajiv Ramaswami stated that about 30,000 customers have migrated from VMware to the rival platform due to customer dissatisfaction over Broadcom's acquisition of the leading virtualization firm. Since Broadcom acquired VMware in November 2023, many users have sought to reduce or end their reliance on the technology. The most common drivers for these migrations are that the company is becoming too expensive, forcing users to bundle products, and becoming harder to work with after Broadcom culled its channel partners. Ramasswami also mentioned that some of the customers that moved fromVM to Nutanix during the latter's most recent fiscal quarter represented the company's "strongest quarterly new logo additions in eight years."
