Jacob Graves, a former student at Berklee College of Music, was shot and killed by Boston police after he called 911 during a mental health crisis. Graves allegedly attacked multiple police officers and emergency responders with a "sword-like weapon" and used it to stab an officer in the arm and topple an EMS clinician. The incident occurred near the Northeastern University campus. Several Northeastern students and faculty members have protested against lack of communication from the university administration about the recent violence.
