A 24-year-old man is facing multiple charges in connection to a police chase that resulted in a crash that left two officers injured. The chase began on April 1, when the driver, identified as 24-time-old Ashanti Travers, sped off and led police on to a collision with a squad car. The officers' squad car then rolled over, causing one officer to have a concussion. Travers was arrested after the chase and was found with $360 in bail. The police complaint alleges that Travers tossed out a duffle bag from the car containing nearly two and a half pounds of marijuana during the chase. Despite the injuries, the officers did not die.
