Berkeley Police Blotter: House Crash, 2 DWI Arrests, Fire And More

On March 7, a motor vehicle crash into a house caused by a silver 2004 Toyota Corolla, leaving no injuries to anyone inside the home and causing it to become uninhabitable. Craig Donnellan, 60, of Bayville, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Carelessness Driving, Passing a School Bus, Failure to Maintain Lane and Unregistered Vehicle. On March 19, a red Dodge Ram was spotted passing a school bus near Veeder Lane, showing signs of impairment and was arrested. A second DWI arrest followed a two-car crash on March 31 involving injuries on Jamaica Boulevard, with driver Sharin Montroy of Berkeley Township allegedly refusing standardized field sobriety testing and a blood warrant being granted. Police also reported a fire on March 23 on Monaco Court, causing heavy smoke conditions and causing visible damage to the home.
