The Greenleigh, a 299-room luxury lifestyle hotel in Houston, is set to open this summer under the umbrella of Dallas-based hospitality group Makeready. The design of the hotel was influenced by the biodiverse nature of the Bayou City, a biodiverse region with a focus on the diverse group of migratory birds. California-based Wilson Ishihara Design was used to create a lush urban oasis, aiming for a gathering spot for Houston locals and stylish travelers. The exterior of the building has been entirely transformed, including the exterior clad in frit glass with ceramic paint patterns and etchings. The hotel's signature restaurant, dLeña, will be Mexican-inspired and led by acclaimed chef Richard Sandoval. The regular room rates start at $314.
