Queensland Sues Mining Giant to Recover $66 Million Green Energy Grant

The Queensland government is suing mining company, Fortescue Metals Group, for $65.97 million in green grants given to them for failing to meet commitments related to its mothballed electrolyser factory in Perth, Australia. The state government has lodged a case with the Supreme Court of Queensland against the company, alleging it did not meet its obligations to maintain its promise to provide power supply and create thousands of jobs.
