Hay Festival 2026 - free BBC events announced including fan favourites The Archers, In Our Time and Uncanny

Over 30 free BBC events have been added to Hay Festival's spring programme, taking place 21 – 26 May in the Exchange Marquee in the centre of the free-to-enter Hay Festival site. Listeners can also catch live programme recordings and more from Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, including a special Archers event in celebration of the programme's 75th anniversary year. The BBC 4 continuity announcers will also return to host events over the Bank Holiday weekend. Radio 3 and BBC Wales will also be bringing fan favourites to the Marquee. Popular literature, arts and music programmes such as The Archers, In Our Time, and Uncanny will also feature.
