LMPD hit by fleeing car while investigating shooting that killed one

A man was killed and a police officer injured in separate incidents during a shooting investigation in the Park DuValle neighborhood. The officer was hit by a car that fled the scene and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not immediately disclosed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The police are leading the investigation.
