The proposed $126,243,931 budget for 2026 is up 2.8 percent from 2025. The proposed tax rate increase is 3.2 cents per $100 of assessed value, which would equal about $98 per year on a house at the township's median assessment. The municipal purposes tax rate, which the town controls, would rise to 81.5 cents in 2026 if approved. The biggest impact on the 2026 budget is the sharp increase in the cost of health insurance, with an increase of $2.1 million for employees. The largest portion of the proposed budget is dedicated to emergency services, with about $1 of every $4 going to these services. The township will also be spending more money on roadway improvements.
